Matey is a job board: you post what you need and Mateys send quotes. You choose who to hire.
What it can do for you

What to put in your job
The clearer the job, the better the quotes. The form is filled in with an example you can change.
- Your business type and the area you cover.
- The calendar or booking tool you use (Google Calendar, other, or none yet).
- What counts as urgent and where those calls should go.
- Whether callers should be told they are speaking to an assistant. Ask the Matey how they handle that.

Will it sound like a robot?
That depends on how it is set up. Ask Mateys to show you how it sounds before you commit, and test it with a few calls yourself.
What if it gets something wrong?
Say in your job how you want mistakes handled, for example always sending you the details so you can double-check. Test it before it goes live.
How do I know the person is who they say they are?
Mateys verify their identity and connect a bank account through Stripe, our payments provider. You can also read reviews from past jobs on their profile.
Is my money safe?
You pay through Matey and the payment is held. It is only released to the Matey once you and the Matey both confirm the job is done. If you disagree, "Report a problem" keeps the money held while we look into it.
What does it cost me?
Posting a job is free. Mateys quote their own price and you pay the job amount, with nothing added on top. Matey keeps 10% of the job amount from what the Matey is paid.
